TheBalm Cindy-Lou Manizer Review

Beauty bloggers are forever raving about the Lou Manizer sisters by TheBalm. So I thought that I should give it a try as well. Since I have lately been into too much of pink makeup, be it pink lipstick, pink blush, pink eyeshadow. So now it was time to buy a pink highlighter, which is why I called for Cindy of the Lou-Manizer sisters.

There are three “Lou Manizers” in TheBalm’s lineup. There’s Mary-Lou Manizer, a golden shade which seems to be the most popular of the three; Betty-Lou Manizer, a bronzey color; and Cindy-Lou Manizer, a peachy pink, which is what we are talking about.

Product Description

The Cindy-Lou Manizer claims that this could be used as a highlighter, shimmer and eyeshadow. An all-in-one essential, this smart shadow, beautiful blush and subtle highlighter is tucked inside a travel friendly and easy to carry compact.

I am quite impressed with the type of packaging that they have done for this highlighter. Its pink in colour with an old school pin up girl made on the top which supposedly is Cindy. The back side is plain silver. One thing to be noticed here is that the locking system of this highlighter is extremely firm and strong. I do like the big mirror inside the compact though, it’s very convenient.

Its definitely a pretty item to be showcased at the top your vanity bag.

My Experience

I think Cindy-Lou was intended for those with cool, light skin tones, as shown on TheBalm’s website but this seems to be perfectly working on the warmer tones and doesn’t look ashy on my warm skin tones, like I am.

Cindy-Lou Manizer is a sharp pink glowy shimmery highlighter with some golden undertones to it.

When applied lightly, it gives a soft glow to the face that is not over the top and gives a really pretty settled everyday-makeup look.

The texture of this way too soft for a powder. I would classify the texture is gentle, fragile and delicate.

Also, the pigmentation is like freakishly good. A slight dab on the pan gives way to obvious of the product and its enough to highlight the face. It lasts for about 6 hours on my skin, which is pretty good.

Cindy-Lou Manizer is definitely worth a try. Give it a shot if you’re looking for a shimmery, peachy pink highlighter. It’s a fun shade to try as a highlighter and it looks very pretty on the skin. It’s not difficult to blend, has good lasting power and TheBalm gives you so much product.

It retails for different prices on different websites. I bought it online from for Rs. 1,614  for a product size of 8.5 Gm.
