My Top Five Concealers For Indian Skin Tone in India

C 1
Don’t we all love glowing skin without any blemishes, acne, discolorations and dark circles. Spotless skin gives us more confidence to take over the world. But it is always not possible, as not all of us are blessed with flawless skin. I believe that a concealer is a girls best friend by all means.

The time has come to share with you my Top 5 Concealers from the drugstore (high street) and high-end, for dark circles, blemishes, spots, scars, highlighting and redness. These are my top favourite concealers I’ve tried so far, and they work well on my dry skin.

Also, my skin tone is medium with warm undertones, and I generally choose concealers that are 1 or 2 shades lighter than my skin tone.

Inglot Freedom System Cream Concealer provides medium coverage. Positive points would be blend-ability and good staying power without creasing. It just blends in and looks natural. As far as the texture goes, its highly creamy and moisturising, so dry-skinned beauties are gonna love this! The pigmentation again is fabulous but its not an extremely high coverage concealer although its buildable. It spreads very well and even though its creamy, it does not crease or settle in fine lines.

A lightweight fluid concealer that provides medium to full coverage with a comfortable, natural matte finish. Helps conceal and correct the look of under-eye circles, and discolorations. The texture is fluid, its slightly runny but not overly so. A small amount of product gives plenty of coverage and it dries down to a matte finish. The only thing we don’t like about this concealer packaged in a glass bottle is its pump applicator, which makes it really tricky to dispense only what you need. Inevitably, you end up getting much more than you need, and trying to put it back in is a chore, which adds up to a waste of money.

Dermacolor Camouflage Creme is an especially highly pigmented make-up which is designed to correct and cover skin disfigurements, discolorations and tattoos. Once Dermacolor Camouflage Creme is fixed using Fixing Powder and Fixing Spray from Dermacolor it will be waterproof. The texture is a bit hard so you need either warmed up fingertips or a damp sponge to blend this onto the skin. What I like about this product is that it covers quite well and gives a flawless look to the skin. It looks natural on the skin if you choose the right shade and is a good value for money.

It’s a magical thick formulated concealer. Crease-resistant, opaque coverage in a creamy yet lightweight texture. Its very hydrating and is perfect for girls with dry skin but works well those with oily skin as well. It settles into a semi matte finish which does not look cakey or heavy. It does feel slightly tacky so I highly recommend setting it with a loose or pressed powder to prevent it from budging or creasing later in the day. The L.A. Girl HD Concealers provide medium to buildable coverage which covers dark circles, redness, pigmentation and marks extremely well. The only problem with that the brush applicator soaks some product every time.

Loreal true match concealer is a super blendable, liquid concealer. The applicator picks up quite a bit of product so I just put a few dots around my under eye and use my fingers or a dense fluffy brush to blend it out. The consistency is like a creamy liquid and it blends beautifully into the skin. It gives a very seamless, natural finish without streaks or uneven patches. The coverage is about high which is great for my dark circles. The fluid texture feels hydrating in the under eye area as well. Once I set this with powder, it stays well with minimal creasing.

Finding the perfect concealer is like finding the perfect man- you never know when you’re going to find it, and when you do, you hold onto it for life! I hope you all liked the list and would find a good option for any of your problems.

Which ones are your favourite?

  1. Please suggest me good concealer to hide swollen n red pimple …i dnt hav dark circles bt i hav acne on my cheecks.i have oily skin

    • Apply a green corrector instead of a concealer on top of your pimples and redness

  2. To apply, I take a soft dome brush and gently sweep this under the eyes after I apply foundation. Or you can apply straight to bare skin if you wish to skip foundation, just be sure to blend really well. This is without doubt the best drugstore concealer ever! This comes in a tube and has a wand much like a lipgloss would. It s easy to apply and blends into the skin smoothly and evenly. It s a thin, liquid formula that covers and hides imperfections incredibly well. It also hides dark under eye circles, no problem. This concealer is available in 6 different shades catering for either pink or yellow undertones. The best way to apply this is to use a soft dome brush and sweep it under the eyes or around the nose where you need it.
