I have had this foundation for quite some time. A month back, I went to the Sephora store and bought the Makeup Forever Ultra HD Foundation. The Makeup Forever Ultra HD Foundation claims to be a bestselling HD foundation that appears more invisible, comfortable, and natural looking than ever.
It has an exceptional shade range, with options ranging from super fair to very deep.
Packaging if fairly minimal. It comes in a plastic bottle with a pump dispenser and a plastic lid. I actually prefer plastic bottle, as they are less likely to break in my bag or if I drop them. You get 30ml of product.
Price: INR 4,000 for a product size of 30 ml.
Texture- This is a lightweight foundation with a liquidy texture, which spreads and blends very easily. I found that a little did go a long way and it was super silky when applied. You do need to buff it into the skin, as it can tend to be a little streaky if you don’t do this. I really like how the finish on this foundation looks when set. It not only gives a flawless finish but it gives the skin a bit of a glow too.
I’m in the shade N 128 and since I’m a dry skin person, it was perfectly suitable for me as it has a high amount of moisturisation. Though, it’s not ideal for very oily or oily skin due to its finish.
As far its application is concerned, A little goes a long way, and we found the two pumps recommended by Make Up For Ever to be much more than was necessary to cover our entire face. I like to use one pump of it, at most, with additional product buffed over specific spots only where more coverage was needed.
Coverage- I would be inclined to say that this is a medium coverage foundation but it can be built to medium/full coverage. When applied more lightly it can be like a second skin too. I really love the coverage of this foundation because even though I can achieve excellent coverage, it doesn’t feel or looks like a mask. In fact it feels really lightweight on the skin. Because of its coverage, I like using this as a concealer too.
Stay Power- The only thing I wished was its long lastingness. Though not bad! It’s summertime after all. The foundation lasts for almost 5 hours, after which it starts creating a bit of fine lines on my eyelids and under eye area. But majorly, the coverage stays in place except that I do tend to pat compact after 4 hours to grease off the skin.
Its my absolute current favourite high end foundation. What are your thoughts about it?
